This machine included a de-reeler and a re-reeler.

A bi-metal chromium tape was transported from reel to reel through the stainless tube show in the photograph. The stainless tube housed some custom built electronics for a demagnetisation process, which was controlled via a separate machine designed and built by the customer.

The main considerations within this machine were to ensure zero tension on the tape, high-speed winding, and precision measurement on the length feed.
